Side Note: I can understand a movie studio "writing off" a crummy movie for the tax benefit, rather than releasing a dog, but anyone who watched this and figured there was no audience for it, shouldn't be in the moviemaking business.

Coyote Vs Acme
The Looney Tunes are such a versatile and sturdy collection of characters, it's unfortunate they're inserted into genre pictures to comedic effect so rarely. If Who Framed Roger Rabbit is "Chinatown with toons", then Coyote vs Acme is "Erin Brockovich with toons" and it works just as well. None of the toons' characters break their 80-year-old personality traits, they're all faithful to themselves. The toon action is as funny as ever, the Coyote offers some legendary new reply faces that made me LOL. I am not a fan of Will Forte when he's playing a weirdo, but as a cowardly, meek attorney, he delivers just the right flavor of frustration and weariness. Lana Condor has his niece (love race-blind casting) is great, and John Cena is winning me over with his comedic skills. And the whole shebang is only 101 minutes, barely disqualified for my Best Movies, 100 Minutes Or Less list. Recommended! (Beacon Aug 28 with Henry, Triplex, with Peter September 5)
