246 Either / Or; Neither / Nor
- "Dogs Of Lust", The The; I discovered recently that The Smiths' Johnny Marr also was an occasional guitarist for other established bands like Pretenders and The The!
- "Hit The Road, Jack" Ray Charles
- "I Got A Man", Positive K
- "Kiss That Frog" Peter Gabriel
- "D.J." David Bowie; I read somewhere this song referenced as "influenced by Talking Heads", so I gave it a spin.
- "Open All Night" (Nebraska Live version) on Bruce Springsteen's new Nebraska box set, he recorded an all-new performance of the entire album, live (without an audience).
- "Miles From Nowhere", fellow Garden Staters The Smithereens
- "Actually Romantic", Taylor Swift was been called out for swiping a Pixies riff for this song; I say there's only so many chords in the world.
- "You Got It" Roy Orbison; a classic rock-and-roller gets a comeback, with a new song that sounds like a lost golden oldie.
- "Hey Jack Kerouac" I like the way the opening chords of this 10,000 Maniacs song come crashing in after "You Got It" ends.
- "Sway" I don't love Kacey Musgraves' last two albums as much as I loved Golden Hour, but she's still great.
- "Bad Liar" Selena Gomez
- "Eleanor Rigby" I found it hard to segue in and out of this Beatles song, but this spot works okay.
- "Bad" (live) U2, from the Wide Awake In America EP.
- "Flip It" Bleached
- "Whole Love" Wilco
- "Turn You Inside-Out" R.E.M. The production on Green [1989] album tries for muscular, but it only succeeds compared to some of their earlier work; for me, it's more brittle than strong. A good candidate for a modern remix a la the Replacements Tim or their own Monster.
- "The Laws Have Changed" The New Pronographers
- "Kings and Queens" Aerosmith
- "One Step Away" and a very different Boston-based band, Hush Club
- "You Send Me" Sam Cooke
