Paths of Glory

I picked up Kirk Douglas's autobiography The Ragman's Son this summer, so I'm backfilling my Douglas filmography: Paths of Glory is brilliant. Stanley Kubrick's heartless moviemaking is ideal for an unflinching witness of the indifferent hand of Death in wartime. Douglas is restrained holding the righteous moral high ground. Man never looked so small when War has inured them to murder. On Tubi with some sadistically timed commercial breaks.
