The Cover: I enjoy stumbling across alternate photos from iconic album cover designs, and using them in my own cover art; I inlcluded a Dylan song from Bringing It All Back Home on this playlist, so this was a good moment to repurpose this alternate photo from Bob's photo session

  1. Cocteau Twins "Heaven Or Las Vegas"
  2. The Beatles "If I Needed Someone" I have been including Beatles songs on playlists since my very first mixtape in this series, number 1 in 1992. Thirty years and 200+ playlists later, I've featured 60 Beatles songs. Since crunching these numbers, I have been on a mission to feature my favorite Beatles songs I had never used on a playlist before. This is my latest example.
  3. Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings "Better Things" Sometimes your search results delivers different songs with the same title that are as good as what you were looking for.
  4. The Kinks "Better Things"
  5. The B-52's "52 Girls"
  6. The Decemberists "Burial Ground"
  7. Indigo Girls "Get Out The Map"
  8. Fleetwood Mac "I Don't Want To Know" Have I featured this song before? Maybe not?
  9. Rema feat/Selena Gomez "Calm Down"
  10. Sarah Jarosz "When The Lights Go Out"
  11. Aretha Franklin "Baby, I Love You"
  12. Coldplay "Sky Full Of Stars" I like this song, but it will forever make me think of Taron Edgerton's singing gorilla in Sing 2.
  13. Taylor Swift "Delicate"
  14. Bob Dylan "Subterranean Homesick Blues" in 1989 an classmate quoted this song in the text below their senior yearbook photo, and I thought that was the coolest thing anyone had ever done.
  15. Siousxie & The Banshees "Cities In Dust"
  16. J Mascis "Can't Believe We're Here" after unfairly dismissing Dinosaur Jr. as "too noisy" for 30 years, I am starting to come around on J. Mascis and his band.
  17. Slow Pulp "Cramps"
  18. Rihanna "SOS"
  19. Peter Gabriel "Live and Let Live" (Bright-Side Mix)
  20. Sam Cooke "A Change Is Gonna Come"
  21. The Byrds "The Christian Life" from their "country" record Sweetheart Of The Rodeo, I heard this song while shopping at Big Dig Records in Cambridge last month.
  22. Booker T & The MGs "Boot-Leg"
