Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse

An excellent continuation of the Into The Spider-Verse story, with a tiny minimum of ret-conning. The parallels between a young teenager's growing pains of young adulthood and newly discovered super-powers makes Stan Lee seem like a genius. The movie also examines The Hero's Journey and whether a super can be a super without tragic loss. Mostly the multi-verse was used for comedy and color in the previous movie; in this movie the multi-verse is essential to exploring these ideas. Spider-Girl (G'Wanda lol) is as big a character as Miles in this one. The remainder of the Spider-Gang is not as interesting as the last movie, but still good. Much like Back To The Future Part II, Kill Bill, Deathly Hallows, Hunger Games, and Infinity War before it, Sony knew they had a hit on their hands, so they made two movies at once and left us on a cliffhanger at the end of this movie. A wonderful twisty cliffhanger, but we still need to pay $10 again to see part 3 next year. My Grade = A.
