Babe

Absolutely heartwarming. An excellent first feature film for your kids. We first showed Babe to our son when he was 2 or 3, and he loved it. The old VHS tape went back in the crate for many years, then when we showed it to him again (and his brother) at age 10, our son had forgotten all about it!

All of James Cromwell's dialog as Farmer Hoggett

  • Don't keep pigs.
  • 16 pounds, 2 ounces.
  • Oh! Merry Christmas.
  • Pity. Shame to miss out on the "Best Ham" prize at next year's fair, is all.
  • Nice plump haunches he's getting. Beautiful. Still, silly to wait I suppose.
  • Good dog. Good pig.
  • Funny that. Those chickens, and that pig. Nothing. Just look at them. The browns, and the whites.
  • Come Rex, come Fly, come Pig. Come pig. Away to me Rex. Come to me Fly.
  • That'll do.
  • Get em up, Pig.
  • Away to me Pig.
  • Stop it, no.
  • Good dog.
  • Close the gate, and you're done!
  • Home pig.
  • Oh, nothing.
  • Have a good time, go on, go on.
  • (sings a song to Babe while he's sick)
  • Alright.
  • Stay there.
  • There's no rule...
  • Away to me Pig.
  • That'll do, Pig. That'll do.
171 words of spoken dialogue, and 61 words that were sung.
