079 Can't Live With 'Em...

Named after the rampant sexism in the first two songs...
  1. George Thorogood & The Destroyers "You Talk Too Much"
  2. Guns N Roses "I Used To Love Her"
Followed by three songs with references to buying drugs...
  1. The Lemonheads "My Drug Buddy"
  2. The Pursuit Of Happiness "Nobody But Me"
  3. Ben Folds Five "Battle of Who Could Care Less"
  4. The Who "Substitute"
  5. David Bowie "Jean Genie"
  6. Muddy Waters "Mannish Boy"
  7. Etta James "I Just Want to Make Love to You"
  8. Bo Diddley "You Can't Judge A Book By Its Cover"
  9. Ryan Adams "New York, New York"
These next two songs are super-boring. I was trying too hard to include "deep tracks" to the mix. Or maybe I'd hoped that I'd grow to love them?
  1. Neil Young "Are You Ready for the Country?"
  2. John Cougar Mellencamp "Golden Gates"
  3. R.E.M. "Belong (live)" I like using band photos that weren't used on the cover art of their album, but maybe featured somewhere else in the packaging? The R.E.M. photo, above, and the photo from the back cover, are from the Out Of Time booklet.
  4. The Soggy Bottom Boys "Man of Constant Sorrow [video version]" Ripped directly from the special features of the O' Brother Where Art Thou DVD, with a RCA cable patching the DVD player and PC.
  5. Patsy Cline "Walking After Midnight" a mildly corrupted MP3 taken from Napster or BearShare, I forget which.
  6. "True Love Ways" from one of the first CDs I ever owned (circa 1988), From The Original Master Tapes (right), a 20-track Buddy Holly collection.
  7. Lisa Stansfield feat/Larry Adler "They Can't Take That Away From Me" is from The Glory Of Gershwin (1994), a tribute album in celebration of Larry Adler's 80th birthday.
  8. Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds "Ants Marching (live)"
